Some hot rod builders strive to adopt the latest developments, both technical and aesthetic, to keep “current” and satisfy their customers’ lust for new trends. Others eschew the new and embrace the old — the traditional hot rod, those simple, timeless machines of the late 1940s and ’50s.

If you want something done right, sometimes you have to do it yourself. Tim Kilkeary learned that lesson the hard way about six years ago, when a disastrous build experience at a local hot rod shop led him to realize that he wanted to open a custom shop that delivered quality work and made good on its promises.

Kilkeary had been in the business of fixing up cars for years, running a mechanical company as well as a body shop that services nine local new car dealerships. Will.I.Am’s Custom Built $900,000 Car

POSTED BY CELEBRITY CARS

Will.I.Am has some pretty crazy taste but this takes it to a whole other level of crazy. The $900,000 custom ride was spotted on the back of a flatbed truck in L.A. recently. I'm so tired of my commuter never having enough space inside to move big things, and still not yet a small car. I'd get a mini truck like this, if nothing else, it would finally put a 2 door on the market that isn't a 50 thousand dollar car. Vette, Camaro, Chally, Stang. All overpriced, with no entry level 15-20 thou model like the manufacturers made in the 60s.

You could get a entry level cheap Dart, Camaro, Mustang, Coronet, Chally, Charger, Road Runner, Torino, Falcon, etc etc with out the high powered engine, options, etc.

Not any more. There are no cheap american 2 doors for high school and college kids to buy.
